Work Productivity: Learning How to Type

Designing the Obvious

Improving typing skills is a key factor in boosting work productivity. As an engineer, I’ve found that efficient typing is crucial for working more effectively, whether that’s for writing code, drafting emails, or whipping up some documentation. Over the years, I’ve tried a few methods to improve my typing speed and accuracy, and two online tools have stood out in this journey:

  1. Keybr (https://www.keybr.com/): Keybr is a free online typing tutor that helps you learn how to type efficiently. It’s useful for both beginners and advanced typists. I found it helpful in improving my typing speed and accuracy. The interface is user-friendly, and it offers exercises based on your typing patterns.

  2. TypingClub (https://www.typingclub.com/): TypingClub is another free online typing tutor with a wide range of lessons and exercises to help you improve your typing skills. It helped me learn to type faster and more accurately. It provides structured lessons, typing games, and feedback on your progress.

I usually recommend one or both of these tools to anyone looking to improve their typing skills.
